Every week I discover that a famous celebrity, person of influence, or world changer is Canadian. Canadians are taking over the world. There are so many amazing examples. Musical artists that go by one name like the Biebs, Drake, and Celine all Canadian. Carrie Underwood is married to a Canadian. My favorite New Kid On The Block member, Jonathan Knight, born in Boston to, you guessed it, Canadians. Canadians litter the leaderboard of the PGA Tour every week and, of course, they have hockey. They have hockey with great players with great nicknames like Boom Boom Geoffrion, Super Mario Lemieux, the Golden Jet, and the Great One.
Funny, Not Funny
Are you even funny if you are not Canadian? It’s funny, not funny how many Canadians are hilarious. Jim Carrey, John Candy, Dan Aykroyd and Mike Meyers all hail from our friendly neighbor to the north. Katherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Eugene Levy and his entire family are you Schitting me? I was today years old when I discovered that Tommy Chong is Canadian! Make it stop! Don’t get me started on Ryan Reynolds. Canadians are taking over the world.
Oh, Canada
Americans tend to give Canada a hard time, and despite our snobbery, Canada very accurately predicts our future. Canada is setting the pace and is 10 years ahead of us in their post-modern and post-Christian attitudes and actions. They seemingly outpace the United States in culture and media. They are even running ahead in the death business. Canadians influence us more than we influence them. It will be an unpopular take with my conservative friends, but we are closer to their socialism than they are to our capitalism. Our churches are less full than they were before. Canada’s churches emptied out years ago. Canadians are taking over the world. It’s funny, not funny how much they influence us. Let’s hope that in the future they influence us in all the right ways.
The greatest band there ever was or ever will be is Canadian- RUSH, obviously!!!
They almost made in the post!
